Exploring Warkworth Castle

Year 7 spent a day up the Northumberland coast studying the famous ruins of Warkworth Castle, Mr and Mrs Hadfield took the group as part of their studies in History lessons.

At this time of the year, the daffodils are spectacular at Warkworth and frequently feature in national newspapers and television shots. It was a bright and sunny day, but there was a chilly wind from the North Sea, giving the site an air of gravity as the children explored its inner walls.
