Our annual walk to the Airman's Grave saw the whole Ashdown community walking the impressive 8.5 mile walk.
Thursday marked our annual walk from the Airman’s Grave (near Nutley) back to Ashdown – an impressive 8.5 mile walk through the stunning Sussex countryside. We started with a short service at the ‘Grave’ remembering lives lost in conflict over the last century and those in our thoughts today.
As the clouds cleared, making way for blue skies, we began the march back to school. The miles slipped by quickly and it wasn’t long before we reached Ghylls Lap for a hearty lunch of hot dogs and warm soup. Another pit stop for hot chocolate gave us the energy needed for the home straight. We arrived back on home turf tired, but proud of what we had achieved. Thank you to everyone for taking part and huge well done to the Pre Prep for completing the mammorth walk!
