School Facilities

Cothill has a series of well-designed and attractive buildings amongst its facilities, all surrounded by beautiful grounds.

The white fronted and gabled main house is where the Headmaster and his family live along with the majority of the boys. It also houses a newly reconstructed assembly hall complete with modern stage and retractable tiered seating, a spacious games and sitting room, and the dining hall & kitchens.

In addition to boarding in the main house, second year boys board in a small and intimate bungalow within the school grounds, while leavers in their final year stay at the nearby Chandlings Manor, and enjoy indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a sports hall and a golf course.

The Complex is the main academic building offering a series of well-equipped classrooms and form rooms, and upstairs a spacious and bright library as well as a state of the art computer room. Across the main yard, the Pike building offers three modern science laboratories and a well-stocked prep room.

Cothill has a flourishing music department and this is due in part to the superb facilities. There are 17 practice rooms, including a stand-alone drum room and the large teaching room has enough electronic keyboards for each boy to play during lessons.

Art & Design also make up an important part of school life, and there is a dedicated art room, a ceramics studio and a design and woodwork centre.

There are many fine sports facilities at Cothill for the boys to enjoy including an indoor swimming pool, six all-weather tennis courts, a nine hole golf course, a newly refurbished squash court, and a new obstacle course on site as well. All of these facilities are surrounded by a large number of games pitches.
