Sending photos for upload to the website
It is always great to receive good quality photos taken by parents at away matches and other events involving the boys, for inclusion on our news page. In the past, the challenge has been how to send lots of photos (in a decent size) by email without it taking forever! The minimum size we can accept for the website is either 800 pixels long or 800 pixels wide, but bigger than this is always better.
Single photos are best sent in by email, but for larger batches of photos (10 or more), the easiest method is to upload them to Cothill's account on Picasa, which is Google's image hosting service. With a simple login and password (that can be sent to parents by email if they request it here) it's possible to access our account and upload photos in one simple process, and from there they can be accessed for use on the school website. The upload process is very straightforward and there is no limit to the number or size of photos that can be shared in this way.
