A bit of work...

A dedicated and experienced teaching staff drives Cothill's academic side. There are thirty-three full-time teachers ensuring that class sizes are rarely greater than eighteen boys while the norm is closer to fifteen.

   

All boys have the following subjects timetabled:
- English
- Maths
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- French
- Latin
- History
- Geography
- Religious Studies
- General Studies (introduced Sept '07)
- Art & Pottery
- Class Music
- Computing

Junior boys have timetabled swimming, design and woodwork lessons. Some boys learn Mandarin, particularly those who started to learn it overseas.

There is a supervised prep period every evening for all senior boys so that they become accustomed to studying on their own. Boys receive a 'weekly' report, scrutinised by the Headmaster, for all subjects to help monitor progress. Full reports are sent to parents at the end of each half of term.
