RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team to perform at Cothill on 4/5/11

We received some very exciting news from RAF headquarters today, with confirmation that the RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team will be dropping in from 2500 feet above the school and landing on the 1st XI cricket pitch at 1.45pm on Friday 4th May.

That same day marks the beginning of the first exeat in the summer term, so the timing is perfect for parents to come along and enjoy the spectacle before taking the boys home. This would also be a great opportunity for the Falcons and RAF to express their thanks to the many generous Cothill parents and friends who have shown their support for the boys in their attempts to raise £15,000 for the RAF Wings Appeal. To have raised more than £10,000 in the first 10 days of the school's campaign has exceeded all expectations, and leaves the boys feeling very excited about the prospect of a display by The Blades on Sports Day, as well as their chances to win in the 'Fly with The Blades' raffle draw. Before that, of course, completion of the 10 mile sponsored walk by the entire school on 22nd April will be no small undertaking, but suffice it to say that the boys are already relishing the challenge!

So please accept our thanks to everyone for their invaluable support so far, and be sure to put the above dates in your diaries.
