6W History lesson - learning about timescales
JWDF took his 6W history class onto the games field today, to learn about timescales. Using a scale of 1 metre to represent 1000 years, here they are 195m from their classroom (which represents today), at the point in time in which the species of Homo sapiens has just evolved in Africa. As a point of reference, the date of the Battle of Hastings would locate it less than 1m away from today, just in front of the blackboard!
....and here they are running back to school (and through time) to get to their next lesson!
