This year, Cothill will be making use of eBay charity auctions as a new and exciting method to raise funds for the RAF Wings Appeal. The school has set up its own eBay account and has entered into a partnership with the RAF so that all proceeds from its auction sales will go directly to the Wings Appeal. Nearly £600 has been raised from its dealings so far, as below:
We would like to offer parents the chance to participate in the same way. Do you have anything of value at home that Cothill could sell on eBay as part of its fundraising efforts? If a satisfactory sale seems likely, we would offer to sell it using Cothill's eBay account online. You might need to bring it in to school so that we could take some photos and help to write a simple description, but we would take care of everything else. You would assume zero risk and no charges to be paid. Ebay charity auctions raise millions of pounds for charities every year, and AJRC is a resident eBay specialist having been an active eBay trader since 2001, with 100% positive feedback!
Please email if you have something that you would like us to consider selling, and remember that on eBay there is a market for almost anything!
As a token of our thanks for your support, whatever price the item finally sells for on eBay (as a multiple of £10), we would grant you the same number of 'lucky tickets' to enter the 'Fly with the Blades' draw on Sports Day. So if your item sells for £50, you get 5 lucky tickets. So if you have a head for heights, come aboard!
If your item sells on eBay you will earn tickets for the 'Fly with The Blades' draw
